Cloggers Boom?
Recently the word “Cloggers” has been seen on the front page of the CambodianWeekly, a local weekly newspaper, with the snap shots of four blogs Deedeedoll, Khmerlegend, Trajoke and KhmerBird. The word, clogger, seems to get the time to be more spreaded out.
It was once on the Cambodia Daily about Tharum in 2005 and as well at wired news that it was the time blog took off in Cambodia.
As I remembered, Bun Tharum was the first Cambodian blogger published on The Cambodia Daily in 2005. And he is presently the author of Globalvoices, representing Cambodia. On February 14, I and my director had lunch with The Asian Foundation’s country representative. He said that “Tharum is the father of Cambodian blogger.†— vuthasurf
And now it mights be the time that this boom to take off to another step to freshen bloggers’ breath.
A host of posts in reaction to bloggers in the Cambodia Daily and Cambodia Weekly; they are ‘beautiful’ and ‘more attractive’. Let’s not get carried away here, OK? -JinjA
New two services, i’ve never noticed before, are seems to be already to go to give more cloggers a place to start, Khmerblog.com, and ikhmer.net. The site that everyone can get a blog for free using wordpress platform as wordpress.com has given to many cloggers. But these two site seems to be more khmer sense and power the ability to let everyone write in khmer unicode.
More the knowledge and word are being shared around. Within the city, and provinces, more is doing at kampong cham, and many have done in Phnom Penh. Even if the access to the Internet seem not yet getting much better, I’ve found that the cloggers’ world is getting wide.
