Originally, each province possessed its own color of krama, making it possible to identify the region from which the bearer was born. This is still the case for example with Thleah kramas from the village of Baseth. Today, there is a very wide choice of colors. The warp threads are often terminated by knots, and thin strips of another color sometimes come out of the pattern.
